This was the third time we had to call ADT and had them come to our house to fix the alarm system.  Since they upgraded the system about a month ago, they couldn’t get any signal from us.  That means someone could have easily broken into our house and scarred my face simply because he couldn’t control his jealousy over my devastatingly beautiful look.

About three weeks ago, someone from ADT came and fixed the problem.  I thought the whole issue had been resolved and I could live happily ever after.  Matt brought the breaking news to me when I was in Orlando last week.

“The alarm stopped working again.  ADT couldn’t get our signal.  I have set up an appointment for next Wednesday morning.”

“You’d better train Callie to be the mean watch dog.  Lesson number one:  Stop rolling over immediately and begging people to scratch her belly.  Particularly, strangers!”

The ADT guy showed up this morning.  I stayed in the study with Callie because she could not stay away from the ADT guy.  It was all too exciting for her.  Matt was there with the technician the whole time explaining how the new system had given us so many troubles.  Five minutes later, Matt came in and told me that it was done.

“Wow!  That was quick.  What was the problem?”

“The power was unplugged.  He plugged it back in and we were back in business.”
